    Hey people!
Basically there's this girl I like who has told me she is on a 'break' with her bf because apparently she feels closer to me.

Basically, what on earth is a 'break'? I'm just trying to create a picture of what is actually going on between myself and this girl. I got a text first thing yesterday (xmas day) saying Happy Christmas and how she hope's I have a great day etc/

Just am totally confused as to what is going on :-(

    Cheers

A break is just an excuse to have a relationship with somebody else, they never work. From what I've seen, whenever a couple are on a break, one of them goes off dating whilst the other one becomes depressed because they can't face dating somebody else other than their partner.

A break = A temporary break up because the initiator of the break up wants to enjoy the freedom and convenience of not having a partner for a shortish period of time, with the intention of stringing the person along so that you can get back together with them and enjoy the closeness and companionship/sex when its convenient to the initiator.
