Guys your age are probably too immature for you, let alone someone 2 years younger. I think personally it is a bit weird yeah.

It's only the separation of year groups that makes it seem taboo. Get riding on his disco stick without delay.

I dont see why age would affect anything, he is lagally allowed to shag because he is 16. So why not?

It is seen as a little unusual socially, yes. But if you really like him, then I think you should go for it. Maturity and personality generally matters more than age in these cases. And he is legal after all. Plus, as you two get older, the age gap probably won't even seem so weird anymore (eg, at 23 & 21, 28 & 26, etc).

You know what? I let this kind of thinking ruin a potential relationship with a girl I know. I was worried what others would think. All I say is **** what others think, and do what you two wanna do.

Well, I would personally never go for a younger guy; can't even stand guys who are older than me. But if you get along, why not! Just try. You won't lose anything. It doesn't matter what people really think because they don't know what it's like between you guys.

Lol, OK, maybe that's looking a bit too far into the future then. But I reckon even if you were 19 and he was 17, that wouldn't even be as strange. Also, plenty of older women go for men around a decade or more younger than them, so your case is really nothing in comparison. So if you like him and want him now, then totally go for it if it feels right. :yy:

My 18 year old friend's bf is 16, it's been over 6 months they've been together so I think it can work, if you like him go for it

If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. Who says it has to last forever?

He likes you, you like him, just get together ffs. Stop giving so much of a **** about what other people think.

are you planning to go to uni next year? if you want a long term, meaningful relationship, do you really want to start something up only for you to move away, potentially to the other side of the country?

    just something to think about

As long as you don't watch pornography together and don't share naked pictures for at least another two years, it's legal.
