Does anyone on here plan to go abroad and work?
Which are the best (and well paid places) to practice as a Dr. abroad, apart from America and Australia?

personally I feel endebted to work and pay tax for a while in the UK given the cost of educating med students.
America is a massive effort by all accounts.

staying in the UK.
People always talk about wanting to study medicine to give something back to the community that they are living in - so why would you wanna leave the country that educated?

UK has highest pay in Europe. Very few countries are higher. Australia do not pay more that the UK I believe.

apparently they do get paid more in Australia
Approximate (Australian $)
Consultant (Specialist) 150-300,000
Basic salary - assumes a working week of 38 hours
doctors are paid more after overtime / on call - 15 % to 25 % higher.
( 1 Australian$ = 0.6 UK £ (UK) )
But in Europe Yes, UK pay doctors the most.
