So I was meant to get a Blackberry Curve 9300 today but apparently my contract might not cover BBM and email and stuff

The contract is £20 on 3, 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb internet

    Anyone else come across this?

The tariff info also says 'Unlimited internet (subject to FUP of 500MB per month) on all 24 month tariffs. The Unlimited internet does not cover Blackberry service.'

    Please help! x

Yeah, BlackBerry charge you extra on top of your normal mobile internet to use BBM and their other BB services. But, the way I read that, any internet that you use with BBM and email isn't taken out of your main 500mb allowance, so that's good I guess.

If it's a BlackBerry Curve contract, the BB internet service should be included as the internet allowance. Ask, and if it isn't, go with another provider where it is (I believe Orange does it properly).

You are charged for BBM because your service provider has to pay a subscription to RIM for their blackberry services...depending on your contract some providers absorb this into your contract price, but others will charge.
