So I have been recommended to some photographers by some people for a ... photoshoot, and I was thinking of asking my friend who is a model to join me in the photoshoot... is it too much ? Especially to put them on facebook? I don't know whether to have the mindset of **** what some people think, or to not...

I think it's incredibly cheesy and crass to put up professional photos on facey, makes you look like you care too much, which you quite obviously do. So if you care too much you want to try not to look like you care too much, so badly photoshop your face on someone famous' body or summat.

Posting up 'professional photoshoot' pictures on facebook is one of the naffest things you can do, it makes you look like a vain ponce. It's the female equivalent of a guy posing topless in front of a mirror taking pictures of his reflection and thinking he's badass.

This is weird. I have about 40 out of 600 FB friends that do this. None of which are models per say and about 9 odd that are 'phwoar stunning' 20 that are 'mehh nice rack, too much tan, could do with a nose job' and the rest are butt uggers.

I'd fall under uggers and so wouldn't do that. However if you are good looking then i see no reason not to. It's a part of who you are and they wouldn't ask you unless you were phit. I say go fur it. If you've got it, flaunt it.

    Haterz gon' hate

Sounds like there's some nakedness involved.......... and possible misuse of fruit.

Gosh, just do what you want, for goodness sake. I personally don't mind people putting up pro pics if they look nice. Really though, many of these Facebook thread questions are quite unnecessary IMO, no offence.

Hm I can never decide with these. One of my friends is a model and runs in pageants and she puts her photos up. But she's not a wannabe, her photos are stunning.

I know other girls with whom I've had photoshoots who really are just eh.. 5/10 too much tan etc etc and they put every single photo up and tell all their friends to comment them blah blah blah. They're wannabe never will make it past page 3 of nuts magazine.

I run in pageants and I have photos done occasionally for promotional needs. I always feel a bit odd putting them on facebook no matter how nice the photos are. I just feel it's a bit vain and try-hard, even though I get compliments I feel rather embarrassed by them.

Sorry that whole reply was very convoluted. I'm not really sure what my point is.

I would like to know what "...photoshoot" means though?

As long as you take friends with you, and don't upload hundreds of photos of just yourself. Cos that would be a bit weird...

There are modelling sites that you can put your photos on, maybe they would be better there?

Photoshoot = Generally, a couple of hours posing for photos. It can also be a session of taking pictures of bananas. You get the idea.

OP, if you don't feel comfortable with it, then don't do it.
