# Maths CORE 3 factorising Watch

Please can someone explain how i would factorise x^3 + 2x^2 - 3??

well if you find a linear which goes into the expression using the factor theorem for instance, then you can take it out as a common factor and be left with a quadratic, which you can then factorise.

try it I will do too

Do you have to give your answer as 3 factors? Because what I get can only factorise into a linear and a quadratic
