Hmmm, well it varies from person to person! The professionals always recommend you have between 8 and 9 hours each night. I however vary between 4 & about 12, lol. I have no rhythm. I suggest you try & aim for 7 & make sure you go to sleep & wake up at approx. the same time each night so your body clock doesn't get disorientated. Yeah, I know that is waaaaaaaay easier said than done!

Me, I perform fine on at least 4 hours. If I go over 7 hours then I feel ill; headachey, sluggish, etc.

I think seven hous and a half's sleep at night is OK! But I always sleep at 1:00AM and wake up at 7:30AM

If I sleep for too long, I seem to be tired all day. I usually get 8-9 hours sleep. Though, I sometimes go to bed at 8-8.30, so it seems like I'd get more sleep. That doesn't seem to happen, I constantly wake up during the night.
A good breakfast is always good too!

On a school day I go to bed at 10.30 and get up at 7. It still isn't enough...

I need around 9-10 hours I think.

Crap I got like under 6 hours last night, I'm getting worse

Heelp me!!! Lol.

Alright that's it, tonight after work (I finish at 8) I'm gonna make sure I start getting ready for bed at 10.30, as I have to be at uni the next morning by 9 (and be at the gym by 8).

I find that if I have less sleep(4-5 hours)the night before an exam, provided I've been sleeping properly(8-10 hours) in the lead up to it, I will perform better.

However don't do this for exams which are on consecutive days or you will feel so crap on the 2nd day!

Aaahhh tonight I went to bed at like 1.30 last night, this is NOT good *slaps wrist!*

I am going to make sure that TONIGHT, I will officially brush my teeth and get ready for bed at 10.30pm. I hope.

Depends on your body - I'm a night owl so I have difficult sleeping before 1-3 am, but hate getting up earlier than about 10. If you're feeling tired while studying or something, or need to be fresh to have a lecture or go out - sleep for no longer than 20 minutes. You completely rest, but don't go into REM sleep and so don't feel groggy. I know a lot of people say '20 mins isn't enough!!!' but you'd be surprised how awake you feel afterwards. Power-napping. Woot.
