    hey guys,

basically my friend asked me if I wanted to go spend new years eve with him and his friends. He lives near me but will require me getting a train there and back. I did fancy him...but we are just friends now. My dad is a bit annoyed about this as he doesn't like my friend and thinks I'm trying to convince myself I don't fancy him and we're just friends. He also doesn't think I'll be back home in time for new years dinner with my family even though trains should be running. Apparently dad will never forgive me if I miss the dinner with my grandparents..
Do i go or not to go..

Wow, now that's a challenge if he said he'll never forgive you. I wouldn't go.

I'd not go, just say you have a family occasion. See your friend another time.

Sad times. Depends on your priorities. If you think you'll miss the dinner, don't go; If you can arrange things so you don't, then risk it and go.
