Okay, so on Christmas day night at night time on Christmas day, I couldn't get to sleep, and kept drifting in between sleeping and laptop-ing.
Anyways, I woke up and remembered that I started writing something on my computer, lifted the screen and found this:

One morning I awoke to find
    a thing upon my bed.
    Sitting in a hooded cloak,
its flesh was white and dead.

I didn't fear the hooded thing,
I thought it just a dream,
Until it turned its thing-like head,
    and unleashed its thing-like scream.

I knew it wanted me to look,
by the glaring of it's eyes.
So I simply turned my head away
from the thing in its thing-like guise.

I closed my eyes and closed my ears,
but could not close my flesh,
as it wrapped it's thing-like fingers
'round my face to feel my breath.

    Spitting with an acid tongue,
    between its grinning lips,
I felt its icy hand and then
    I felt its vice-like grip.

I opened up my eyes to see
If the thing would hear my pleas.
But by the anguish of my eyes
    it would not relinquish me.

The thing then took me from my room
and dragged me through the earth.
Its boney arms and boney frame
    were shaking with its mirth.

For all my fears I did attempt
    but could not wriggle free,
    the towering hooded figure
    had a power over me.

It kept its grip and did not yield,
    I was the creature's prey.
It pulled me at a constant pace,
and drags me 'til ths day.

The land around me cracked and aged,
but I suffered no such fate.
    Mortality itself it seemed,
could not match the creature's gait.

How CREEPY is that! The worst thing about it is that i wrote it on CHRISTMAS DAY! who writes something like THAT on Christmas?

I have no idea what I was babbling on about, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that I watched:
'The Grinch' (the "thing" thing is rather Dr.Seuss-ey)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Dementorish?)
and I read the Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

    I'm never sleep-writing again.

I wondered if i was documenting a night-mare that I had, but I can never remember my dreams anyway so don't really know if this is true...

Anybody else erm, done anything like this (Unlikely I know, but still...)

Damn. In my defence, it was like 3 o'clock in the morning... and my disoriented/sleep deprived brain only managed to find word pad instead of word (no spell check) for some strange reason. Poor error though, I will alter now.

    Magic! :wizard:

I also mistyped 'laptop' by the way, I meant to write parchment. :yep:

My original title was something along the lines of "I woke up but was still sleepy and I wrote a poem and forgot about it", but I decided to make it a little more succinct.

    Spoiler:
    Show
You're the only one that's noticed so far... shhhhh!

here's 1 i rote on the jon lol

    "Half dead with sudden fear he dropt the reins;
The horses felt `em loose upon their manes,
And, flying out through all the plains above,
    Ran uncontrolled where-er their fury drove;
Rushed on the stars, and through a pathless way
Of unknown regions hurried on the day.
And now above, and now below they flew,
And near the earth the burning chariot drew.

At once from life and from the chariot driv'n,
Th' ambitious boy fell thunder-struck from heav'n.
The horses started with a sudden bound,
And flung the reins and chariot to the ground:
The studden harness from their necks they broke,
Here fell a wheel, and here a silver spoke,
    Here were the beam and axle torn away;

And, scatter'd o'er the earth, the shining fragments lay. The
    breathless Phaeton, with flaming hair,
Shot from the chariot, like a falling star,
That in a summer's ev'ning from the top
    Of heav'n drops down, or seems at least to drop;
Till on the Po his blasted corpse was hurled,
Far from his counry, in the Western World."

myt put it on facebuk lol

wow, that is creepy, guess that's what happens when you watch so many movies at Christmas time.. sleep is fascinating sometimes.

I keep a dream-diary, cause sometimes I find myself waking up with the weirdest dreams ever, and I write it down as soon as I wake up, because I usually forget the freaky details straight away. Tonights dream was me trying to land a plane in water, then being stranded on a tiny island, swimming from island to island chased by sharks, sleeping on the water with sharks under me, then the water disappeared and I cooked lasagna - and the pasta plates HAD to be broken up into small pieces. Not a freaky one, just really strange. I watch too many discovery channel shows about sharks though.
It's fun to read through old ones, lol

For all of those interested, I just wrote another poem. Influenced by the guy who spell-checked me, and the guy who said he "myt put [his poem] on facebuk lol."
I guess I'm very much a spur of the moment kind of writer :dontknow:

    It goes like this:

    I herd that man's a jibberer,
    who tlks jibberish all day.
    Bt I can undrstand him,
    tlking clearly as clay.

I wondr why I hear it,
    wy the jibbers sownd correct.
    The undertones of jibberish
    coud barely I detect.

    He jibbers in hs gardn,
    pehaps I jibber too,
    they say hee Jibbers on
jst lke a toddler wih flu.

I tride to tell the others,
bt they wouldn't take my word,
that the jibberer's a man that, if yu strain
    he may bee heard.

    Jibber is his native tung...
He's spoke it al his life.
and all this tyme he hasnt found
    a jibb'rer for a wife.

I wunder why his neybours haven't thought
    2 jibber back.
Perhps it iz a skill, and no one
    else has gt the knack.

I found hiim in his grden,
    by following his squaks
I grdened with him fore a while
    b4 I thought 2 talk.

I conversed with tha Jibbra andd
    he conversed with me too.
    we had nothng inn common
so friend ship did nt ensue.

I challenge anyone to spell check that :awesome:

I know it's nonsense, but that's the magic of poetry. *******s = something deep and meaningful.
