Reapplying under deferred entry. Is this allowed? watch

If you want to reapply you have to let go of your deferred place.

So I have a bit of a dilemma...

I have been rejected from my first choice uni, but I've been accepted by my second (perhaps third) choice. I'm very happy about my acceptance, because it's still a good uni, but I feel like I could have done better

What I am thinking of doing is to accept my second choice uni offer, but ask them to defer my entry for October 2012 (which they will presumably agree to do), and, in the meantime, reapply to my first choice uni during my gap yah. Is this allowed?
Nope. You can't hold onto a deferred place and apply in the next cycle as well. You have to give up your offer to do it.

Before checking whether UCAS allows this, you need to convince the uni firs.

You can also do accept to uni and go there for 2011-2012. While you are attending that uni apply to your first choice through UCAS.

In that way you will spend at least a year in your 2nd choice and who knows you might like it or if your 1st choice accept you transfer there as a first year student.

PS in this way you have an advantage that if your 1st choice doesn't accept you the the second time, you wouldn't thing 'damn, I wasted a year'.
