# C1 C2 and C3 watch

1. hi
i know that have to take c1 c2 and s1 or m1
but can i take c1 c2 and c3 only
2. Nope.

To get the AS Grade you need to complete C1 / C2 / S1 or M1
To get the A2 grade, you need to complete AS and C3 / C4/ And something else i think.

you can but u have to do atleast 1 applied module to get an AS and 2 to get a full alevel.
4. If this is Edexcel, then I know that you at least used to be able to do C1, C2, C3, C4, FP1 and FP2/3 and you got a pure maths A-level, instead of the normal maths one. You'd need to ask your teacher though, you might need to be entered separately for it.

And for a pure maths A-level, the AS requires C1, C2 and FP1, not C3. And I don't think you can do it if you're planning on taking further maths as well.
5. You can take C1, C2 and C3 (These are compulsory for AS) and you get an A Level in Pure Mathematics. Then for A2, you would have to do FP1, either FP2 or FP3, and a module of your choice. Although it does get complicated if you want to do further maths

This is not the case for every Awarding Body. It might be useful if the OP says which specification he is following.
7. AS: C1, C2, S1/D1/M1
A2: C3, C4, S2/D2/M1/S1/M1/D1 (one you haven't done in AS)

Indeed you can, with the WJEC, (some other boards are different)
for an AS in Pure Maths, C1,C2 and C3 are the required modules.
(I think the AQA do C1,C2,FP1 for AS Pure)
