What's going on?

Ok, I'll keep it simple. I've met a 3rd year student who I *think* likes me, ie he always talks to me and gave me a big hug and kiss on the cheek last night and said if I was bored I should text him and he'd come and see me.
So I texted him earlier today and he replied saying he had way too much work so sorry, he couldn't meet up. He didn't say anything about when he'd next see me or anything like that. What's going on? Does he like me? One of my friends is telling me to text him again tomorrow to show that I'm interested, the other one is tellling me to wait for him to get in touch. I don't know what to do *cries*

EDIT: Do you think he could be freaking out cos of the age difference (18-21)?

I agree with the friend that suggests waiting for him to get in touch. Don't make yourself appear too keen!

Lol i have a similar problem theres a boy who i like and i think he likes me, im not sure! We email each other every day and occasionally text each other, we see each other each day during the week and he often hugs me. He danced with me at a recent school dance, im not sure whether he likes me as a friend or more, i have decided to let things take a natural course, i think you should too

I agree that maybe u should let things take their natural course. I mean he might not want to look too keen either. Also maybe he really has got loads of work being a third year. I reckon there might be a possibility that if you wait for him then maybe he is waiting for you to call/ text too and so nothing happens. If u give it a few days then call/ text him. If u think he likes you then he probably does but he may just be worried about seeming too keen and forward and be backing off because of it.

Turn up to his flat in nothing but high heels and a long fur coat.

Yeah, he sounds like a pedophile.

no way the age differance means nothing!!

wait for him, and when you do see him dont ask him whats going on just act normal and don't talk about him not meeting you,

maybe he is afraid to tell you he likes you!! alot of guys are you should meet him on his own and see what happens

good luck but don't sound to needy i did that once and he just walked away lol

Why do some girls always read FAR too much into things?

He said he had too much work. He's at uni. Do you expect him to drop everything and be there for you in an instant?

If he said he has work to do then leave him be. He probably has work to do!

Play hard to get. Might be tough, but stop being around for him all the time - when he calls, be busy. Gets em at your feet every time.

totally agree that might even be what he is doing you never can tell!!

but its funny anyway lol then he will be like oh okies if he really likes you a bit of him will be annoyed that you are busy if you get what i mean and maybe if you tell him you are doind work or whateva he might even turn up and see if you are (some blokes do that)

I think people should just show what they feel. like if a girl came up to me and said i really want to see you i would say great, i'm sure there are guys that would do what you mentioned but i wouldn't turn somone down for wanting to go out with me. playing hard to get is not my type.

I'm talking if there's already a kind of thing going on - no point playing hard to get with somebody you barely know. But if he's just too busy to talk to you, playing hard to get works more often than you think.

Hmm - I wouldnt reccommend walking across bath dressed like that!!

Seriously though - don't seem too eager! (think this might be the 3rd time i've sed this to you).

I suggest perhaps leaving it until you see him on thursday, and ask him if he wants to go somewhere on thursday/friday/saturday night.

*hugs*
