I need a concise example of when split-half reliability would not be a useful way of assessing reliability. Can anyone help please?

the questions have to be of a similar ability all the way through, So an IQ test,? or even a type of questionnaire.

A questionnaire or structured interview would be a good way of assessing split-half reliability.

The questions would be split into two halves, both asking the same thing but worded slightly differently; if answers are similar there is split-half reliability as the answers are consistent.

It is not however good when conducting an observation, because you can't split an observation up into two segments easily. It also isn't useful for an exam paper for example if the questions get harder or measure different things in different sections.
