My hair is long but gets tangled very easily - a regular hairbrush can't tame my long hair too well.

Can anyone recommend me a decent hairbrush (no more than £10.00) which is really good for long hair. Preferably not the "Tangle Teezer"

They're not cheap, but I can thoroughly recommend the Mason and Pearson range. I have one that's a mixture of nylon and boar bristles, which deals with my thick but fine hair that matts easily very well. I've had mine for about 10 years now, so they definitely last if you look after them. You can't use them with wet hair, though - the rubber will disintegrate. I use a wide-toothed comb for wet hair. Personally, I think that this is something that's worth investing in.

Denman paddle brush - mine has been thoroughly abused and thrown around, and it's very robust. Myself and my mum have about 4 now they're so good. And the bristles are robust enough to go through really big knots in long hair but they don't hurt your scalp. Found on for less than £10

You might be able to get it cheaper if you look around.
