    Hey all,
I was just wondering if anyone uses saving tins to save up for things. put money away until it builds up. I just emptied a uni saving tins I forgot all about and found £120 wroth of £1 coins. Which will go a decent way to save for uni. Has anyone else used saving tins as a way of saving for big things?

    Haha or piggy bank!

There is little logic behind "saving tins" or whatever you call them. Ok, they help you keep loose change in one place, but that's it.

They don't make you not buy that cardigan from Topshop, not buy a bottle of coke for lunch, make you take the overtime at work.

Those are the things which will boost your savings. It's funny how the human mind works!
