here is a part of the course work question Simple Linear Regression Model

    1) Plot 2 separate scatter diagrams of demand for coffee, Y, against, , real price of coffee and real personal disposable income, .
What kind of relationship does each scatter diagram present? Explain.
    10 marks

    2) Assuming that demand for coffee, , and real price of coffee, are linked by a linear relationship, estimate this regression by Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method, clearly showing all your calculations ( Excel can be used for all the computations).

    (1)

Write out the estimated regression equation. Draw the estimated
regression line on your scatter graph. Clearly interpret the coefficient
estimates and . Conduct an appropriate test at 5% significance level
on the slope coefficient to examine its statistical significance. Clearly
state the null and alternative hypothesis. Draw appropriate graph to
explain your answer clearly showing the acceptance and rejection region.
Comment on your significance test result. Present the scatter diagram, all
your computations, and summary regression output.

There aren't really any steps as Excel gives you a regression equation directly from the data.

It should all be very straightforward for you, just tell us which bit you don't get and we can help.
