1. Hey

Im really confused on question 6d (page 13)

Caculate the work done on the psring when it's length is increased from 2.0x10^-2m to 8.0x10^-2m.

Work Done = Forxe multiply in a certain direction

0.5 (because 1/2 the graph) x 50 (worked out force from previous question) x 0.06...but apparently it's 0.06^2, why?

2. You could have the decency if you want us to answer the question to tell what paper you are talking about...
3. Because the energy stored in a spring of force constant k when extended a distance x by a compressive force F is 1/2 Fx (or, because Hooke's law tells you that F = kx, 1/2 kx^2). Using the fact that work done = energy transferred, you should be there.
