Hi people, my name is Jess and I'm resorting to this forum as a last hope, as I literally don't have a clue where to begin! I'm 19 years old, have been unemployed for a year after getting 2 B's and a C at college. I know I could have done better, and on all of my retakes I got A's, which just proves it to me further...I'm now kicking myself; I have an undying genuine love for English and many teachers have implored me to follow this. Unfortunately (as you do) I've realised this a little too late and looking at a few entrance requirements just now I have this gut wrenching feeling that I'm not going to be able to follow my dreams without spending another 2 years at college...which just doesn't seem feasible after wasting this much time at already...so I ask for your advice, do most universities require high grades for English Literature and Creative Writing (the ones I have looked at are all AAA/AAB)? If not is it worth going back to college to redo my all of my A Level's to follow my dream? It's just two years seems so long to wait when I want to get going! I hope you can understand and thank you for your efforts.x

2 years is a long time, plus A-level have changed now and doing them in a year won't be fun

look around at unis, get on the ucas site, look course search and it should come up with a list of every uni that does english, or just google town names and put uni at the end, county names as well, look about

don't get down on the fact you don't have AAA you can still get into a good uni with BBC
