Well.. I am rather new to this forum. Nice to meet you =)

Anyway, I have some queries about going to UK to study.. wonder whether you can solve my doubts? ehhe..

i.e. When we reach UK, where are we going to live for the first few days? Will the school arrange accomodation for us by then?

How's the racial discrimination in UK like?

I've not seen South east Asians become the victims of racism.

To my knowledge It happens a bit to Africans, Arabs and "India area asians" But of these 3 it seems to me that these days "India area asians" are no longer persecuted as they are accepted as being british by most nationalistic people.

Mainly because our general stereotype of "India area asians" is of hard working businessmen/doctors e.t.c who are putting a lot into our society.

The stereotrypes for people of Arab and African area origins are not so established. I think people are still afraid of them a bit. Also a lot of crime is attributed to them by the media.

Has anyone been there or know anyone who has? I heard Collingwood is a great college to live in. Which others are good? Is Durham a nice place? I want to study BA Geography there btw

I'm applying next year not this year. I only said i want to go there, not that i actually am going there! So i don't know anything! Sorry. x
