What can I do?

To cut a long story short I got to know this guy on tour over the summer. He’s really nice, cute and friendly, and we have lots in common. He’s also really shy, but has lots of friends. I developed a crush on him towards the end of tour, but didn’t say / do anything about it, but I then thought loads about him over the summer holidays. I’ve now moved to the same school as him (he’s in year 13, I’m in year 12), and see him fairly regularly just passing in the corridors or whatever. He’s always completely charming when he sees me, and stops to say hi, or ask how my weekend was. I can’t stop thinking about him! I’ve cried myself to sleep over him some nights just because I like him so much, but am sure the feeling isn’t mutual. Do I love him? Is it even possible to love someone you don’t know that well? What can I do? I like him loads, and have thought about saying something to him, but because we’re both so shy I don’t want to embarrass him / myself and never be able to talk to him again. Any advice?

You don't love him yet but you sure as hell are close. How about asking him how he feels about you? Subtle hints?
In truth when girls drop hnits at me I ignore them as I get scared so maybe be more upfront.
Why not actually go out and do something with the guy?

Hmm i suppose the best way to do it is too take things slowly, if you are both shy even if he does like you he may not want to make a move. Get to know each other a bit more, talk to him gradually longer and longer. These things happen naturally, you never know if he gets to know you well enough and becomes more relaxed with you he may overcome his shyness and ask you out. Thats about all the advice i have, but just let things develop naturally, try not too push him too far. Good luck :p:

Thing is he's quite popular with lots of the girls in our band, girls I'm not really friends with. If I were to say anything to him, I'd be scared of what they think of me - see at band, he has his own group of friends and I have mine, he doesn't talk to me then. it's completely different at school. and because we don't talk much at band, it'd kinda weird for me to ask him to do something like go out, even if just as friends. :frown:
