Durham email to Mac mail

How do I link my Durham email to my Mac mail??

I have successfully linked my email and iPhone, but can't seem to link it to my Mac. It says how to do it on this link:

http://www.dur.ac.uk/its/email/exchange/eximap/configuring-clients/

But I have followed that and it hasn't worked. It always gets to the "Incoming Mail Server" screen and then comes up with the following:

"Logging in to the IMAP server "eximap.mds.ad.dur.ac.uk" failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn't correct, you cannot receive messages."

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, and have checked, and the ITS page was modified recently, so I doubt it is out of date.

Has anyone managed to link their DUO mail so it is shown in their Mac Mail??

Thanks for any help.

Have you requested IMAP to be enabled on your account, via the form on the ITS website ( http://www.dur.ac.uk/its/email/exchange/eximap/ )? Your iphone may be connected via Microsoft's own MAPI protocol, which does not need enabling separately.

Also, it is not your 'DUO mail', it has nothing to do with DUO except that DUO happens to be one way of getting to it.

I had no idea you had to this. I just searched incoming server for durham uni and got the page I linked above.

I will try it and see how I get on. Thanks!
