I enjoyed this match a great deal.

I didn't do enormously well - somewhere in the 13/14 region - but I did beat them on a few things such as Edward II and Titian.

I mentioned the eyebrows weeks ago

You did well to get one of the paintings, I found those quite hard.

I managed to get cloisonné, for some odd reason I knew that.

I think Ms Woods has plans for young Oscar... certainly her left eyebrow does.

It was funny the way they rolled their eyes on hearing that the questions were about canals in the Midlands. There was kind of a sign on the desk saying "no Northern type stuff here please". :teehee:

Titian is the only one I seem to be able to regularly identify. I believe I also got Caravaggio but I may be mis-remembering.

I'm generally terrible at science, maths, classical music, opera, ballet, art and geography. I'm not sure how I get anything right

I always guess Shostakovich, Dvorak, Brahms or Debussy depending on the question  I will occasionally throw in some Rachmaninoff if I'm feeling adventurous.

bear™ is similar with the painters... it is a pick and mix of Cranach, Botticelli, Rubens, Titian, Varese, Tintoretto...

I can identify Titian reasonably well and am not too bad with van Dyck of Friedrich for example but I'm really rather awful in general.

I generally find it's always worth yelling 'Titian' at the screen to any UC painting question, at least a quarter of all paintings ever shown on the programme are Titians. :teehee:

Similarly, you cannot go wrong with Bach, Beethoven or Brahms.

The answer to all geology questions is "the Cretaceous".

I thought the correct maths answer was always "minus 1".

It was last night.
