Ah yeah, he's known for his dramatic body changes.

There was one film (which I can't remember), where he purposely drops to 54kg.

Then for Batman, he suddenly goes all hench.

I do love this show, however it is incredibly bias towards English literature, classics and history etc. There are so few questions on mathematics, modern day physics and other sciences etc :frown:!

no

it always feels biased towards things you don't know

Also, were you that Chinese dude sitting on the left for one of the Cambridge teams?

I seem to remember you said that you were on UC.

Yeah things that private schools know a lot about.

Or... people who read a lot and take an interest in the world around them. It's not impossible, it just takes initiative. All the people I know with encyclopaedic knowledge have got it from places other than school.

No, you are most definitely wrong, it is very biased towards classics, literature and history. Next time you watch the show just count how many mathematical and modern day physics questions there are in comparison to the above topics. You will find on average that the ratio is very low.

I do maths at uni, I've been on University Challenge and I never felt that I was somehow biased against.

maybe this is just life telling you to get more diverse interests?

Really hope that UCL win their next match as I'm sure Karran gives answers just to wind up JP. My favourites of his so far have been that a pop shuvit is an ice skating maneuvre and his claim that Carol Ann Duffy won the Pulitzer prize for poetry posthumously in 1981.

Oh crap, I must have missed that one! Is there anywhere I can watch past episodes of UC? I'm pretty sure the answer's no, a quick look hasn't found anything.

And UCL need to win, they keep the contest interesting!
