Go to G&Ds

Blatantly. G&D's is the solution to all Oxford woes. Also you could go ice-skating and then go to G&D's on the way back - we did that once. It was very fun but I was quite cold cos I kept falling over at the ice rink and got all wet and it was winter!

I always use to get 4th week blues rather than 5th week blues, but despite being ill I have so much planned this week I haven't had that problem!

Kirsty: we should go ice skating next week (although only if I'm better as currently banned from any form of exercise!)

Thanks for your suggestions guys. have to admit that my total lack of coordination means that ice skating isnt for me (plus i sprained my ankle whilst drunk on monday... )
However I havent been to G&Ds this term, so thats a must, although it's a long way from cowley...

Yep, I'm totally in 4th week blues. I've just burnt out..all work no play makes Alex a dull boy...all work and no play makes.......etc etc. But I think it may be more to do with the fact I am in the midst of a particulary annoying essay crisis.

Yeh I'm having 4th week blues. But then I had 0th, 1st, 2nd...

:frown: Well there I was giving out advice... and then my own blues hit *sob*
On the very much plus side I have agreed to spend an extortionate amount of money to go home for my ex's birthday (which is gonna be a much bigger deal than he knows about) and have just found out that one of my 2 uber-best friends in the whole wide world is coming back for it too - and I hadn't expected to see him @ all before New Years Eve (I moved away from the area, so I never get to see my friends now :frown:)

I have a blue college with blue windows
blue is the colour of all that I see
blue are the streets and all the trees
I have friends and they are so blue
blue are the people here that walk around
blue are the words I say what I think
blue are the feelings that seem to amount
I can only say

If you want to get "Out of the Blue" then go and see OOTB today, busking on Cornmarket St around lunchtime!

No you haven't Scott...you're too early! Their "lunchtime" is incredibly early (this term they seem to busk after 1pm). However, I have just been informed that they are currently at a rehearsal and they're not sure if they are going to busk today or not, so don't get too excited.

However, I expect you all to buy tickets to their amazing gig they have planned for Wed 30th Nov/Thurs 1st Dec (8th week) at Jacqueline de Pré (sp?) building at St Hildas. Tickets can be bought online at www.ootb.org.uk

yeah. i figured i had missed them by leaving too early. I was just up there for Sainsbury's and the history faculty library (which, inexplicably, is only open 9-12:30 on saturdays). I didn't realize they would be there or I might've stuck around, but i couldn't be bothered to bike back. I will buy tickets for their Hilda's nights.

Yay, you've bought tickets! I'm in charge of processing ticket requests so I get the notification when people buy them online :-) Thanks a lot - I'm sure you'll have a good evening

yeah. as i did it i realized my tute is normally from 5:30-6:30 on thursdays... is there any chance you can move that to the 9:00 show? or would that be too much a bother? I'm sure i can just talk to my tutor, but if it's an easy job for you...
