they are VERY important. if your like predicted 4E's for instance you are hardly likely to be offered a place...however you may get in through clearing

This is a 2011 thread, and the OP is unlikely to still be on TSR.

Many universities will make offers even if your predicted grades are slightly below their typical requirements. You can try the UCAS offer rate calculator for your subjects, and intended university/course:
