Right folks, I've had enough. This evening I've spent about 20 mins looking for a parking space on my street and the surronding area. I couldn't find one and got so pi**ed off that I've had to park my car at the Lenton Sainsburys in Castle Marina.

Parking in Lenton is becoming a joke, literally every Uni of Nottingham student that lives in Lenton has got a car. Something needs to be done becuase it's just getting ridiculous.

Ahhh, diddums. Must have been the time of day, because I can always find a space to park.

I do don't live in Lenton, but some of my mates live opposite Jackson's. I park either infront of their house on the side on the road or else in the car park behind BlockBuster.

Well, as Rolleston is not a particularly studenty street as compared to the rest of Lenton, your argument would seem to be a bit misguided.

Think of those people who actually need a car, rather than those who have one anyway before moaning about your parking problems.

I have a friend who lives in Rolleston Drive and he's a student.

What roads in Lenton do people regard as studenty streets because I'm thinking of going to Nott Uni next year and am most likely to be living in Lenton.

Lenton Boulevard! Just move off the Boulevard onto Derby Road and it's a straight bus (or car drive ) down to Uni Park.

Why don't you want to live in halls? I really woule recommend it in your first year, also i wouldn't worry about this kind of thing yet, focus on actually getting an offer first. xx

I didn't mean that there are no students on Rolleston, just that in comparison to say Balfour, Albert and Rothesay, there are a lot less.

Also, I'd suggest living in Halls in your 1st year. You'll miss out on so much if you don't.

I know Lenton Boulevard. What about little streets off it like Church Street and Trinity Avenue, because I seen a few students milling around there. Also, where is this student triangle I've been hearing about?
student triangle?? Never heard of it! Basically the whole of Lenton is full of students, but I'd really recommend being as close to uni as possible - Lenton hill is steep! I'm pretty close to uni and my friends in Kimbolton etc are gettin really pi**ed off with the long walk!

I've heard Dunkirk is not as hip-and-happening as Lenton, is this true?

Dunkirk is neither on thing or the other. It may be close to Uni, but most people want to actually get away from the place when they don't need to be there. Plus you'll end up spending more on Buses & Taxi's than if you're in Lenton. Dunkirk is to 2nd and 3rd years in Lenton what Self-catering on Broadgate is to 1st years in Catered Halls.

Beeston is nice and quiet with a few decent Bars and reasonable rent.
Lenton is far livelier with majority of 2nd and 3rd years living there, more pubs and plenty of shops.
