The Student Room Group

Does she fancy him?

In this story there are three people. Person A is a girl going out with person B, who is a boy. Person C is a girl who is friends with person B.

I don't know person B or C or most of the situation since I'm at a different uni to person A (my friend) so you'll have to go on the only info I've got!

Anyway, last term person C kept asking person B to go for coffee, even though he is seeing person A. Person A was not impressed and told me about it when it happened. This term, person A was out clubbing with her boyfriend, when she lost him. She found him talking to person C, which was all fine, except when she went over to them person C walked off past her and ignored her. Realising who person C was, person A was really annoyed.

Person A and B were in a pub with a group of people, including person C, and she ignored person A and didn't talk to person B - strange if they're meant to be friends? Now person A has seen a large group photo where person B and C are standing next to each other. So she's hitting the roof. She hasn't spoken to her boyfriend person B because he's playing football or something, and isn't planning on talking to him until later tonight or tomorrow.

What's your opinion? Does person C fancy person B? Maybe vice versa?

I'm aware that it could just be a friends thing, but it sounds weird to me...

Thanks for any help

PS Just to clarify, person A has never seen person C until she saw her in the club and got ignored.
Person C fancies person B, or doesnt like Person A, Person B doesnt fancy person C.
well, her bf doesnt really seem to have done anything wrong.
Oh, I'm soo confused...

Why couldn't you just make false names up, if you really felt it so necessary to hide their identities?
I think person A is *probably* making mountains out of molehills here. It's possible person C fancies person B, but if that's really all there is to the story, it doesn't look as though the feelings are reciprocated, and I can't see how any kind of confrontation would be beneficial to anybody.
yea i agree, in my opinion i dont think person b has done n e thing particulary wrong and if person a throws a fit about it not only is she lowering herself to person c's standard shes also giving person c an excuse to 'stand in'. if i were person a, i would put on a smile, act as though she hasnt really noticed person c's silly behaviour and show that im an ace gf and far too good to leave!xx
*eyes cross from over loads of the letters A,B and C*

The first thing that should happen is person A should speak to person B about person C, before person A speaks to person C, possibly ruining things with person B. If you get my drift...

LJ you suck!
I think A should just chill out and be the mature person...

Person B has chosen person A over person C so person A should try not to worry.
no1s done anything wrong by the sounds of. just sounds like person a is being jelous and overprotective, she went mad because of a photo standing next to each other, come on!

I agree with what some people have said.

Person A sounds very, very jealous. I'm not condemning her, but she does. She is obviously jealous because it is a natural feeling in others, but it is my personal opinion that she is being slightly paranoid. I'm not saying that I wouldn't feel the same, but she does seem to be "hitting the roof" because her boyfriend is standing next to a girl in a photograph! I mean, really...

It doesn't seem like Person B fancies Person C.

It may be that Person C doesn't fancy Person B, merely that they are *shock horror* really good friends. People always assume this lad fancies me/I fancy him/we are going out, when really we are just good friends.

If the above is correct (B and C are just good friends) it may be just that Person C does not like Person A generally.

It could, however, be that Person C does fancy Person B, which is why C acts so strangely towards Person A.

From here, it is impossible to tell which is the truth.
What's so terrible about having coffee with someone?
