an advanced level qual.,a.k.a vocational a level, equal to 1 a level as single or 2 as double award.

Well you have GCE's at Secondary and Adanced level. Secondary is of course GCSE.

so you could call A levels ACE (Adanced Certificate of Education) AVCE is just vocational A levels (AVCE).

AVCE replaced GNVQ Advanced but AVCEs were also made a bit more difficult with the introduction of tougher A level style exams.

AVCE's can be studied at AS level A2 or double award. Double Award is worth 2 Levels. I got 220 points from mine.
