Can genuinely say I've not felt this excited since we failed to sign João Moutinho. Evidence of that excitement is probably documented within this thread somewhere.

He did what Michael Jordan did before him.

We were singing that when he was here before, but nah, we're not that sophisticated. Bread of Heaven is a VERY common tune to chant to in football.

Obviously no love lost, but funny that an incredibly successful football club feels it has been this hard done by when player decides to enjoy terms of contract. Spanish football culture really is nuts.

Great win for us today.

Must admit I dont follow La Liga all that much but the whole thing strikes me as bizarre really. He's been very successful at Real no? Was he just lazy or looking disinterested on the pitch?

The only example I think of is Ozil from the PL and tbf if he was scoring worldies in CL finals I'd sing his name!

RM fans are VERY emotional and fickle - they have that white handkerchief waving thing when a player isn't up to scratch in their eyes. They have a higher standard of performance and generally trust their own over foreign players.

Yeh they booed Ronaldo a few years back lol

I'd say Bale can leave with his head held high. Did a fine job and won 4 CLs and 2 titles whilst earning £600k per week.

I think he'll do well at Spurs btw

If he left a season or two earlier then maybe. Basically wasted the last year or two. Hardly played last season when they won the league title.

On 4th October 2020, Tottenham made history. 6-1 victory in Old Trafford against United is glorious. That was incredible good!
