I have no idea at all, but from reading all the posts on this site, I'd say it was PPE...

this does not seem to be a good subject for a poll as there are clear objective answers

looking at the statistics, it will probably surprise you, but PPE isn't that popular...in 2002 about a 1000 people applied for 250 places (at Oxford), whereas for SPS (Cambridge) there were 500 people for 100 places, so SPS is more popular than PPE (in terms of the applicant/acceptances ratio), which is quite surprising because few people even know what SPS is.
In Cambridge, the hardest subject to get into is Architecture (I am not lying, check the statistics), Law is pretty popular, medicine too, English Literature isn't too competitive.

Just looking at the prospectus Economics and Management has 4 applicants a place, medicine has 3.7 and law has 3.4 last year. E and M also had 16.7% acceptance in the last 3 years compared to 21% for medicine.

Why are Maths and Medicine put together?
At Cambridge...the 3 most popular courses are Nat Sciences, Medicine and then Law...

But the hardest one to get into is Art...and something.....has the highest applicants to places ratio...

The most popular course in terms of applicants is PPE. I think the most oversubscribed (ie more applicants per place) is law.
