Right, basically its my chance to have a rant.

Before I never used any sort of internet protection, niether an anti-virus program nor a firewall. I am blatently aware of the risks or worms/viruses/etc, and I'm on a broadband connection, using numerous p2p**** programs. However, recently I formatted my hard drive re-installed everything, and then I decided to install Norton Internet Security, great i thought, Anti-virus and a firewall.

The problem is, every 10 minutes or so, a little exclamation mark appears on the globe icon in the system tray. I double click on it, to find out more, and it tells me that somebody is using what is called 'Invalid TCP Flags' attack, another time, it intercepted a Trojan. This is starting to piss me off, surerly I cant be attacked that often? Is it just a scam that the program does to try and make us believe that the software is doing what it is supposed to be doing, in the vain attempt of us purchasing further updates from them? Or is it real?

Pier to pier's aren't illegal, its only what people use them for which can be illegal.

Those things that pop up are real its when sumone sumwhere scans a massive range of ip adresses looking for a computer with a trojan to respond, it donesnt mean you have one, its just a bit paranoid, u should be able to stop the alerts for low threat alerts or sumthing.

I gave up using normal firewalls ages ago. I've got some virus scanner on here somewhere. But I basically just shut down most of my ports and redirect everything else through the 3 ports I have open. It works better. Plus a virus scan once a week does the trick. Remember. A firewall that only operates via a selected number of ports is always going to be more efficient than a firewall that has the latest patches. The latest patches are only going to last a limited amount of time before you need to upgrade again, by which point it may be too late.

And I hereby shove the writ up a dark and gloomy place, where not even the sun dares to shine its light. (Your arse!)

But he comes back from the dead to beat 2776 and Sire to death, by using, the now stained Writ of atrocoties, before burying their corpses in a gloomy and desolate desert way out in America.
