Weird spot (warning: gross)

My friend has this weird spot on his neck at the back. It was quite swollen and sore and looked like an insect bite. I've got some tea tree oil and insect bite stuff to make it better so I offered to have a go at fixing it. It's got loads of gunge in it.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? He thinks it's a mosquito bite from a few months ago. I've never seen anything like it.

Tell him to go to the doctor. A friend of mine last year had a cyst on his neck, which he had to have cut out. Could be the same thing.

It was a white-ish lump on his neck for about 18 months, and then suddenly it flared up and went red, looking like a huge insect bite. (Sounds like the same thing.) Anyway, I'm not sure whether he tried to squeeze it or not, but he went to the doctor and had it cut off. It was probably about the size of a very large raisin.

A crater on the side of his face sounds more like a big chicken pox scar...

Check to make sure it is not a wasps house and you are in fact squeezing the baby wasps to death and that is where the gunge is coming from and tell your "friend" to run away next time a wasp is coming.

yeh years ago my mates mum had a huge red lump/spot, that wasn't a spot, on ther cheek that was just huge and wouldn't go away- she had to get something done to it by the doc.
tell him to get to the doc fast- infections of any kind are bad news. and this sounds repulsive.

yuck! this reminds me of when i was on a train the other day. this black guys walks past and on the back of his shaven head there were these huge bulges. i nearly shreaked :eek:
