Hey, i've got Durham down as my Insurance choice and i applied to Van Mildert College. Went up to visit it in December. It is a really nice college, the people are very friendly, accomodation is all very new and it is reasonably well placed for the science departments. I really enjoyed durham and would love to spend 3/4 years there.

I like the black rugby shirts the students at van mildert wear, not that it is of any help to you!

The admissions tutor of the chemistry is a tutor there, and hasnt it been refurbished recently so it all new and posh

I went on an open day there too.
It had a really nice homely atmosphere and it is all being refurbished.
You won't share a room and will have an internet connection unlike other colleges!

Yeah i went on an open day to Van Mildert last year too, it was great! So im guna go again march anyone actually going to go on the march open day?? or anyone going to van mildert in october 2004???

Im going to study Theoretical Physics, but im trying to change to the Maths & Physics course in the Natural Sciences if possible. What about you? Im sendin da open day replies tomorrow :biggrin:

yea hopefully ill be able to go to the march open days. Durhams my firm choice, and then nottingham is my insurance me finks.

yey, im really glad there are other people going on the 22nd!!
im quite nervous about it but as long as i know there are gonna be others there it will be fine !! where does everyone come from? im from near manchester so its a bit of a treck up to durham , i still cant wait tho!!
