hello Mike, i'l take the bNCA Liason team at Cranwell number if thats ok, I seem to be getting told different things at the AFCO

Thank you
Can i just add my tuppence worth with regard to pay.

I pilferred a leaflet from OASC called "NCA Financial Package"

It says -

Direct Entrant wage (£11,575 pa, if memory serves) for the first 6 months.

Then £24,000 pa for the remainder of training, then full pay on completion of training, which i assume is once you're operational and on a squadron.

I also assume that the 'first 6 months' covers RTS and NCAITC and you would only move up to £24,000 if you complete the courses successfully first time around. I would imagine that if you get re-flighted or back-squadded, whatever you want to call it, then pay would be deferred until completion.

So, i'm guessing that all being well through initial training, we should be earning £24,000 by the time we get to 55(R) Sqn.

I hope this is right as with the financial commitments i have, i can't afford for it to be wrong ! I also hope i don't fail anything.

Finger out time !

It's a shame that Pilot Officers only get £21,000 then.

I wouldn't say than an ATC doesn't work for their living... it's a pretty demanding job...

I know, i'd say every job in the forces is demanding.

You've never heard the saying, then ?

When a young grunt mistakenly calls an NCO 'Sir', the NATO standard reply would be...

"Don't call me 'sir', i work for a living".

You had to be there.....
