are mi5/mi6 jobs, in reality, boring?
What job prospects would I have in the security service with a computer science degree?
Also is there much travelling abroad with mi6, or is it just once a year or something?

There are some job prospects with a CS degree. I saw on the job section of the MI5/MI6 website, that they have CS degree holders working in IT type jobs like networking. That's the only IT job that I could remember on that site. I think there are more. You could check their websites for more details.
