Sent my reply slip to wrong person :(

Yes, I know I'm a fool, before anybody starts.

And after rewriting the address on four different envelopes so that the handwriting looks good I send it to the wrong person.

It was regarding an interview date and I sent it to the Tutor for Admissions instead of the Admissions assistant!

Is this a big deal? Will they doubt applicants who forget to read simple instructions?!
Argh I know how you feel as I just this second remembered I forgot to write my UCAS application number in the space given for it on one of the SAQ forms :frown: Hope they can find it somewhere else !

I'm sure it won't matter as it'll still get to the admissions tutor in the end! We all make mistakes!

I honestly don't think that this will make much of a difference. I was told to send my work to the Tutor of Admissions. Relax.

please please please say you are pulling our legs! This is by far the most halarious, anally retentive worry I have seen this year. If you really are being serious, then for the love of god stop being so paranoid, they aren't going to reject you cos you sent something to one person when it was meant for someone else (especially when they work in the same office). Nor are they going to judge you on how you write the address on the letter.

People, please, this is seriously unhealthy to worry this much, it really really is! Yes, by all means, when you fill in that form, or write out that address, or whatever you do related to your application, take care in what you do, don't treat it like a scrap piece of paper - but you don't need to treat it like it's a work of art either! I'm telling you, you will do so much better if you save all this stressing for the interview, when it will actually matter! You are not being judged on your hand writing or your ability to write out a correct address. Please people, just relax, no more silly worries like this! I mean it! Save it for the interview, you'll do so much better to focus your efforts there!

Surely it's not a good thing to save all your stress for the interview, why not let it all out beforehand so come interview you're calm and relaxed. I just had a mock interview this afternoon - I was quite stressed beforehand (about something else) but I went in and just did it, and my teacher said I did really well!

its not like youu've got a finite amount of stress that you can just get rid of. Stress is self reinforcing, if you are worried about a bloody envelope thenyou are going to worry a heck of a lot more at interview
lol you can't blame them - I got really worried about minor things when I applied.

yeah but there's a difference between worrying about something you've already done being wrong, and worrying about something you've yet to do. The latter is alright, to an extent, it's "care" rather than "worry" though. But the former is definitely not worth doing, especially when these little things actually don't matter.
It was the former. :frown:

well i'm a hypochondriac but even I didn't get start thinking whether or not I had done things right when it came to silly things like the SAQ or sending in an essay. It's ok to worry about the content of an essay, but not about what the colour of the envelope you sent it in
Thanks for the replies guys, I guess I'm just paranoid

you guess? Now, think about this carefully? Surely you need to be sure on all matters related to your application? Carefully think about whether you are paranoid or not, writing out a list of arguments for and against in your neatest handwriting, using the biggest words you know.

I was worried about my offer as well - it says on the letter three A grades at A2, so I started ringing up the tutorial office asking them whether they wanted A's in A2 as well as AS, they were confused and did not know what I was talking about. It turned out that they use A2 for overall A-Level.
