Hi, is there really a limit of taking 3 AEA's in one year?

Logically, you can't do more AEAs than A2s, but I doubt there's a limit.

No of course there's no limit. Like there's no limit to doing 3 A2s, I know someone who took four, failed two but got two merits. Do them if you want I guess, I had to pay though which limited me to taking two.

An Advanced Extension Award (AEA) is an extra 3 hour exam you can take on top of your A-level. They're aimed at the top 10% of students nationally in each subject and are marked as Distinction, Merit or Ungraded. A Distinction is worth 40 UCAS points and a Merit is worth 20, but the pass rare is only about 50% because they're so hard. You're not supposed to need any extra teaching for them because they're based on the A-level syllabus but with harder questions and are supposed to be more about applying knowledge than regurgitating facts.
