If you can say what you think are Britain's three main social problems with a brief description. After a few days or so (depending on how many replies come in) I'll put together a list of the top ten and post a poll so we can vote to see what gets onto the podium of social sh*teness.

Thanks all.

Of course. But even that is unacceptable.

uneducated people wielding power. obviously educating the masses is a difficult task as it is easy to abuse and I am giving a lazy, simple answer

Edit: I mean the fact that people who make no effort to learn how a country is run are allowed to have the vote

Everyone talking about equality when in reality total equality is impossible.
Underage drinking and teen births (usually unplanned of course).
Emphasis on university and as a result the lack of emphasis on other paths.

although I am not a "religionist" I would say the decline of british society is due to the breakdown of the christian religion in britain, this in turn has an impact on families and in turn on society as a whole....

family is the building block of society.... know this may be an unpopular view in secular/extremist athiest britain but meh...

1) A change in attitude in general, esp in teens to combat crime/ teen pregnancy- maybe make them volunteer- but I wouldn't say National service
2) reduce gap between rich and poor, well, improve the way of life of poor people
3) Equality for all
