Poem help - The Sick Equation - Brian Pattern

Hey can anyone help me please.. I've got to annotate the last verse of this poem with anything I find interesting, like any repetitions and what they could mean...

'I was wrong of course,
Just as those who brought me up were wrong.
It's absurd to believe all others are as damaged as ourselves,
And however late onm I am better off for knowing now
That given love, by tkaing love all can in time refute
The lesson that our parents taught,
And in their sick equation not stay caught'

I really have no ideas.. only that love and wrong are repeated... please help!
Also, is the fact that there's a full stop at the end of the second line significant in any way?
