Quick question: when writing an essay for Leeds Uni (yes this is my first one this term!) do you include quotes in your final word count??

Quotes as long as one or two lines are certainly included. As for quotes longer than two lines, I can't be sure; I always avoid utilizing such a lazy option. Unless you're studying English Lit or something similar, I don't really see the point.
