Laydees, what's the upper age limit you'd have between yourselves and a guy? I'm 18( as you can read!) and I'd be inclined to say maybe 27, ish. Just asking cos I was talking about it with some mates the other day and a couple of them seemed to think that was a bit weird! I think it just depends on attraction, personality, chemistry & how much you've got in common- the whole shebang as per usual (no wonder I'm single with a list that long.... )

i was 16 and was seeing a guy that was 23 for a while.i think the most i can ever go now would be maybe 7 years older max really

My mate is 27 and her blokey is 41 which is fine now and they are a great couple but don't think woudl have been so acceptable if she was 17 and he was 31
oh and i'd never go out with anyone more than a few months younger than me, not sure why, its just weird

i went out with someone a year younger then me for 4 months the longest relationship i have had!!

and he was really always playing on the fact he was younger and got on my nerves most of the time!!
my bf is 20, but the age gap between my grandparents is 13 years. I guess it all depends on the person.
i have a 19 yr old mate who's going out with a 30 yr old. seems to cause no problems for her! he doesn't seem 30, more like one of us when we meet up! age shouldn't be a problem, i don't think, unless you are are at very different places in your lives.

my bf is 5 months older than me, on the other hand

i's say 8 years...but my parents hve a 14 year gap...so i guess it depends on if your comfortable with one-another
Urrmmmm, there shouldn't really be one in an ideal world but, yeah, I'd say about 5 years. As you get older I think it becomes more irrelvant.
i think no more than 4 years older at the age i'm at currently - 18, but when you get older it becomes more and more obsolete saying this i think catherine zeta jones and michael douglas age gap, 25 yrs is too much

When I was 22 I dated a 16 year old. We just got on really well, I even met her parents. I think it all depends on the people in the relationship and if they can handle the age difference.

I disagree, by the time you're their age, I don't think age matters at all. I think at our age, we're either still children or we're just on the cusp of adulthood, and as such, to go out with anyone much older would be potentially damaging. I think differences in age decreases in importance the older you get.
My boundary at the moment would have to be about 24/25ish.

it really depends. i mean, if you are 16 and going out with a 13 yr old thats a bit funny, but if you're 26 and going out with a 23 yr old thats ok. i think after 20 it gets ok, I mean, i just assume everyone is my age. if you know what i mean.

we thought it was morally wrong so removed him the group, harsh but fair i feel, especailly when we found they had broken becasue he tried to force himself on her :frown:
It's such a difficult question I think. It's easy to say "oh yeah I would go out with someone not more than x years older than me" but when you like someone who's actually older than that, the 'rules' seem to go out of the window and you say "oh but he doesn't seem old" blabla. I'm 17 and I think oldest for me is 22/23 but I'm not sure. I don't know why, but if I thought about a 16 year old going out with a 21 yr old it sounds so wrong. I know you shouldn't care too much about what other ppl think, but my family would definitely disapprove if I went out with a guy who's even 22 I think. Tbh I think when I'm 22 I would have matured quite a bit from how I am now...and I don't know if I could date the same 22 year old guy when I'm 17 and when I'm 22.
Anyway enough rambling...basically i haven't figured out the answer :s-smilie:

Infinity, as long as he has money.
divide your age by 2, and then add seven. that is the minimum age you can date. and vice versa.
