It's small, but not as small as where I live. Traffic in the town centre is fairly horrific. I used to work in the hospital there. There are nastier places to live in Shropshire, I feel :wink:

I live near there, term time.
Incidentally, the Iron Bridge isn't really anywhere near Shrewsbury, though it is on the banks of the same river. I used to go to school just up the road from the Iron Bridge.
What's so great about it? It's a bridge....has some good pubs though....

Shrewsbury is lovely... if you like castles and abbeys and the like. The town centre's not bad either. However, it's rather full of ancient people... i think they enjoy the history of it all lol.

What's so great about it? It's a bridge....has some good pubs though....

IronBridge is pretty rubbish. There's a great pub right next to the river though... however I wouldnt recommend getting too drunk there... i almost fell in last time :s

Loads and loads of schools in the Midlands take their pupils to IronBridge and Blists Hill for trips... it's beyond my comprehension as to why, but meh

IronBridge isnt shrewsbury, its Telford. The nice, non-chavvy part that is.

Very true... I hear there's some sort of swinging place at Town Park... and near Nedge Hill... i have yet to corroborate this with evidence, however.

Back to Shrewsbury... I went there to do LNAT, and I've never seen so many people over 80 in one place!!!

You're going to Ironbridge? I don't envy you. There's an ice cream shop by a junction near a crystal shop i think... not sure. If you get bored of staring at the rather-boring bridge, the pub on the river is nice. lol.

I'd say go on the trip. Why are they taking you to IronBridge? Its only a bridge...seriously! Try to pursuade them to let you go into main Telford after you've gawped at the bridge... go ice skating or something.

Ironbridge seems much more appealing in the summer :s
