yeah, had my name badge, very sure the person was geniune, as someone from head quarter was in our store, i spoke to the manager, and he didn't say anything
i really wouldn't worry about it too much if your manager doesn't seem to bothered. just learn not to read at work!!

Well he said his manager didn't say anything, not that his manager wasn't bothered.

It sounds to me like if this person took your name badge, said that to you, and your manager won't tell you about it, you're pretty much finished.

In Britain (and most European states) - if you have received your official contract - and signed it - you can be sacked, in a superstoe say, for 3 acts of Gross Miss Conduct -

1. You steal
2. you fight/abuse
3. you mistreat a customer

Anything else would have to go forward to a serious pannel and you could even claim you was being "victimised" and "bullied" - thus unfair dismissal or even unfair "warning" - don't be bullied by powermad nobody's.

If you have genuinly f****d up - then learn from it and get sacked - if you thing you have been illtreated or unfairly judged - dont take it - show the managers who is really in control.

You haven't got a contract ?

NO, i guess i am not worthy of one! :frown:

They are your contracted hours - your "contract" is a piece of legal document.

My contract is sundays

I think what Dr. Blazed was asking was whether or not you had signed an official written contract to confirm your employment with the company. If you haven't then you should really look into doing that otherwise you could get screwed over at a later date.

You haven't been fired anyway. It just doesn't happen that way, HQ have no real say in local employment, its at the managers discretion.
