Year 13, we're allowed to, but it takes me an hour each way so there is no point!

I don't understand, why wouldn't you be allowed?

Because you are supposed to be studying.

We weren't really allowed but people went anyway

My college had no problem with me leaving the premises during a free period. In fact, most of the other students there did the same thing (unless they needed to do coursework in the library or something).

I'm not allowed to go home. In fact, I don't even have any free lessons, because I bunked all my private studies and didn't register, so they're keeping me in private study every time I'm supposed to have a free !
But we have to stay in school during all our frees, unless we have a free last period on a Friday, in which case we're allowed to go home

    *sigh* year 12.....

We were allowed to in Year 13, but according to one teacher only prefects were allowed such privileges.

We have to stay in school and study - unless it's in periods 7+8 (last lesson of the day) when you can go home.
Although I have no frees at the moment so it doesn't affect me.

Yep, although we're not supposed to, that's why they are called study periods. I have to stay in college on Thursday when I've got my free periods cos they are only for 3 hours and it takes an hour to get home! There would be no point going home for just 1 hour.

At my school, we are allowed to go home during free lessons. Most people tend to go back home when they don't have lessons in the afternoon. When people don't have lessons after break time, they stay until the afternoon to leave, so they can chat with their friends and stuff.

There was no need for that option, because I wasn't so much asking what people choose to do but what their schools policy is on the matter.
