Um, Sussex is on the Downs and is near Brighton.

But I thought you were at uni..?

Falmouth Uni in Cornwall is by the sea, or Bournemouth Uni, which is near the sea and close to places like Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island and lots of countryside...

Nah I was doing psychology and sport but quit a while ago, Bolton's just rubbish.

Ah, fair enough.

Most universities on the course aren't in very big towns, and are near some lovely bits of the country.

Lancaster is fairly nearer Morcombe and the campus is in the middle of the countryside. I liked Lancaster.

I wouldn't quite say Lancaster is in the countryside, since they've built the Alexandra Park bit, it now practically ends where Galgate begins, and at the north there's no much of a gap to SCotforth and Lancaster itself, plus it has the M6 running along the eastern side of campus. Morecambs's not the nicest of beaches, tho there are nice coastal areas nearby, and the Lakes and Dales are just under an hour away.

Aberystwyth is by the sea, nice beaches which are great for BBQ'ing on in the summer and is in a small town with countryside all around, and you can even brave swimming in the sea in the summer too

St Andrews is another one by the sea, tho can't really tell you much about the place as it was ages since I went to the open day.
Hi

Sunderland - although 'tis a city is right next to loads of country parks, heritage coast, Northumberland national park, County Durham countryside... has more areas of beaches and green belt land than any other city in the UK.. and the beaches are mint! Tis not always sunny though but tis alreet in Summer and isn't too bad in Winter! And you get all the things like clubs and shops etc in the city centre too...

www.visitsunderland.com ???

Whether you're after relaxation, invigoration or both, Sunderland's distinctive mix of city, coast and countryside will definitely be a breath of fresh air.

a bit cheesy like ^^^^ but might be what you're looking for!

just a thought :P
UEA is in Norwich, surrounded by at least 20 miles of nothingness in each direction. If you like the sea, Lowestoft and Gt Yarmouth are a 30min train journey away
