i just thought that it would be interesting to know what motivates people to work hard and do well. for me personally, its a combination of wanting to make my parents proud, wanting a good career and a verging on manical competitive personality

For me, it's making my parents proud, getting into a good uni and becoming a teacher when I graduate

I don't know... I don't have much motivation until it comes to crunch time.

Then, what motivates me is probably panic.

Loads of things : panic, knowing that good grades will help me get to where I want to be, the pressure of living up to older siblings, recognition if I do well, competition (i.e. the prospect of doing better than others)

what motivates me is the thought that if i fail, i'll have wasted my life. Ive wanted to read law since i was in primary school, and at teh moment, thats whats motvating me... the prospect of finally getting to do it.

Panic motivates me really. I cant study more than one or two hours when there is no exam coming. Well, three weeks before the exams I study whenever my eyes are open. You can also put it in this way, exam motivates me and does a pretty good job too, I must admit.
