Here's my situation: I want to train to become an Accountant. I have five offers from some pretty good unis to study Accounting & Finance. However, I'm thinking of not doing that and looking to train as an accountant instead (when I leave sixth form this year). Is this possible? I'm currently doing History, English L/Lit, Photography A Levels - is it possible for me to find accounting work in a firm? I'm not sure if firms hire sixth form leavers.

Thanks for any advice!

Yes! Try places like UBS or The Brokerage (google them)

EDIT: I recently went to UBS for a class workshop and it is sooo posh! You should really try them. I think you can go online and read more about them etc. The Brokerage is also really good. I think they have a lot of placements for 6th form leavers. Just that you need to have really good grades to get accepted.
