Hey guys,

I need some help!

i)How many 4 digit numbers can be formed from digits 1 and 2 if repititions are allowed.

ii) How many digits can be formed by taking 1,2,3 and 4 digits from digits 1,2,7,8?

I have no idea how to go about doing so, as the questions are like wtf?

Number of choices for first digit x number of choices for 2nd digit x number of choices for 3rd digit x number of choices for 4th digit.

Or

How many numbers can you have with 4 binary digits?

I can't make sense of your second question.
