i get that, its just applying it to EVERYTHING else
Karl Marx was amongst the most important thinkers of the 20th century and along with people like Freud and Darwin helped to transform the ways in which we think about culture. You might find it boring, but the cultural impact of Marxism makes it impossible to ignore.

Yes, as did Darwin (and Freud was born in the 19th - although he did also work in the 20th). The three people I mentioned massively influenced the 20th century (and still influence today's culture in a significant way).
