Tom Cruise stopped making good films in the 90's, his 80's films are amazing.

On a seperate note, i'd never watch LOTR
I'm not a Tom Cruise fan...but i thought he looked amazing in Mission Impossible 2 (which wasn't that bad)

Rain Man does rock.

I can't name my favourite film ever though, unfortunatley... I believe that films appeal to us at different times in our lives and so on. It's an ongoing thing.

Con Air is on BBC1 in a minute if you haven't seen it, it is well worth watching, one of the better films in that genre

yeah, I went with a group of friends to see it.

Film was suppose to start about 8:00 pm. We had about 20 mins of adverts and trailers, then the lights came back on. When it dimmed again, we were subject to ANOTHER round of trailers, which brought the whole damned thing to 1 hours, including an intermission between trailers.

Then a 3 hour long film, which is not enhanced by the fact that they go forward ANOTHER 2000 years in a really cheesy way, and bores everyone completely. Those 4 hours were the worst I've ever spent in a cinema.

Yup, Rainman is top stuff.

Has anyone seen 'The Outsiders' though? I studied it for English in Year 10 I think. Its got so many famous people in it.

i hated the english patient - apparently some people like it though.

I've never seen lotr or star wars, just because i have no particular interest in them. Minority report was dire.

Haven't seen Harry Potter, looks v. boring IMO. Saw Star Wars, but didn't like it (though The Phantom Menace looks alright, not seen it).

I have managed to avoid seeing more than 2 min of Lord of the Rings. I got bored. Now reading the books. You can skip whole chapters then flick back for the important bits.

Had to stand through a conversation between two otherwise perfectly normal fans who were getting weepy over the ending. Didn't understand a damn word.

I watched the first lords of the rings in the cinema, it was honestly the worst 4 hours of my life. I thought I wish I was doing an neclear physics exam right now because at least I would be able to see out of the bloody window!
so true!

I thought that the first (or is it last?) three Star Wars films (eps 4-6) were good, but im not too keen on episodes 1 and 2.

I think Gladiator is an absolutely terrible film! I have honestly never been so bored in my life,
saying that my favourite film is Brassed Off, which most people hate, so there we go!

I think my two films are probably lord of the rings, they are not bad but after 3 hours they do start to get boring why do people think they are great films.

Also Pulp Fiction I thought was I bit weird there seems to be too many loose ends, what was in the briefcase and why did he chuck that guy of the balcony, I only watched it the once I imagine it might make a bit more sense after seeing it a couple more times.
Event horizon. all my friends thought it scary as. i thought it was crap

Whatever that flick was starring Ewen McGregor and Nicole Kidman. I couldn't stand it. Overdone, overhyped, and way too many people over the moon about something that was mediocre (sp) at the best.
